Keto Brownie Recipe: Low-Carb, Gluten-Free Dessert

Prep Time
7 minutes
Cock Time
18 minutes
Serving Size
50gr

If you think you need to skip delicious desserts in order to maintain your weight and balance your blood sugar, think again. This low-carb keto dessert recipe is both decadent and delicious, and to top it all off, it's simple to make. These blood sugar-friendly brownies have only 10g of carbohydrates per serving, so you can have your cake and eat it too.

Keto Brownie Instructions

1. Preheat the Oven

Preheat the oven to 350F.

2. Prepare the Baking Dish

Line an 8 x 8-inch baking dish with parchment paper.

3. Mix the Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, add the almond flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and allulose and mix until well combined.

4. Mix the Wet Ingredients

In a small saucepan, add the butter and half the chocolate chips. Heat on medium until melted and whisk together. Remove from heat.

5. Mix the Eggs

In another large bowl, add the eggs and beat using an electric mixer. Eggs should be slightly frothy.

6. Combine the Chocolate Mixture and the Eggs

Slowly add the chocolate and butter mixture to the eggs.

7. Mix the Wet and Dry Ingredients

Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing well until you have a thick, glossy brownie batter.

8. Add Chocolate Chips or Nuts (Optional)

Fold in remaining chocolate chips (and nuts if you choose).

9. Bake the Brownies

Pour brownie batter into the 8 x 8-inch baking pan, and bake for 14-18 minutes (or until a toothpick comes out clean).

10. Let the Brownie Cool

Remove from the oven and cool for at least 20 minutes.

Are Keto Brownies Healthy?

Keto brownies can be a delicious and healthier alternative to traditional brownies, especially for those looking to manage their blood sugar and carbohydrate intake. Traditional brownies are often loaded with sugar and refined flour, which can cause blood sugar spikes, and are high in calories. However, keto brownies swap these ingredients for more health-conscious options that can still satisfy your sweet tooth without the guilt.

Keto-friendly ingredients such as almond flour and allulose replace the typical flour and sugar, making these brownies lower in carbohydrates and gluten-free. Almond flour provides fiber and healthy fats, while allulose, a low-calorie sweetener, keeps the dessert sweet without spiking blood sugar. Plus, using sugar-free chocolate chips or dark baking chocolate adds intense chocolate flavor without unnecessary sugar.

These brownies are loaded with good forms of fats that are sourced from butter or coconut oil and there are only 10 g of net carbs in one serving which are a great relief to blood glucose levels unlike the normal ones. The recipe can be fueled by the inclusion of nuts for additional protein and fiber or even the use of coconut flour in which case carbohydrates will be a lot less.

Overall, though they are brownies, they are a healthier version in this one especially for those on a low carb or a keto diet. You get to satiate your sweet cravings without going off balance in your diet.
