This page draws on 13,441 ACV-tagged logged meals from 2,874 unique Signos members, collected through the Signos production CGM platform. Data were filtered to postprandial glucose responses (PPGR) between 0 and 100 mg/dL to exclude sensor artifacts and implausible readings. Modifier effects were estimated using Welch's t-test on matched pairs against a defined baseline; all reported effects carry p<0.001 unless noted. Because ACV has a published glycemic index of 0 and glycemic load of 0, the recipe-builder form anchors are overridden to 0 mg/dL — the underlying cohort means (preserved in `option_mean_full_cohort`) reflect what members ate alongside each form, not the ACV itself. The food was identified in member logs using a regex matching 'apple cider vinegar' or 'ACV' as a primary ingredient, with plain apple cider (the drink) explicitly excluded. Any food-pair pairing slot requires at least 30 matched meals before it appears in the recipe builder.

Limitations

  • Self-reported portion sizes introduce measurement error — a logged '1 tsp' or '1 shot' of ACV may vary substantially.
  • Cohort skews health-motivated; Signos members logging ACV are over-indexed on the wellness audience, so the modest blunting effect may not generalize to the broader population.
  • The before-meal shot sub-cohort has low confidence (n=88); the −5 mg/dL delta should be treated as directional only, not statistically firm.
  • Raw / unfiltered ACV (with the mother) had a 'fail' confidence flag (n=13) and is not exposed in the recipe builder primary path — too few logs to read cleanly.
