What surprised us

The page-primary cohort is the single-item cut: 60 meals from 50 members where couscous was logged without other foods, yielding a mean peak of +38.5 mg/dL (median +39.0 mg/dL, IQR: p25 +24.5, p75 +48.0). Because the single-item cohort is below our 100-meal medium-confidence threshold, cohortConfidence is set to 'low' and all single-item figures are presented as directional. Statistical comparisons between modifier groups use Welch's t-test on matched pairs; modifier effects cited at p<0.001 unless noted. Data was captured between March 2025 and April 2026. A minimum of 30 matched meals is required for any modifier to appear in the calculator. The date range spans March 2025 – April 2026.
