Cohort filtering restricts to meals with a measured glucose rise between 0 and 100 mg/dL (ppgr_case='regular'). We report mean peak glucose rise across a right-skewed distribution; the single-item median is +39.5 mg/dL vs. a mean of +40.7 mg/dL. Snickers logs were identified via regex matching (\bsnickers\b), excluding Snickers ice-cream bar entries. A minimum of 30 matched meals is required for any modifier to appear in the builder; slots with fewer logs show as unavailable.

Limitations

  • Self-reported portion sizes introduce noise — logs labeling 'Snickers' may capture fun-size (~17g), standard (~52g), or king-size (~99g) bars without distinction, adding spread to peak estimates.
  • Fun-size, Snickers Almond, and Snickers Peanut Butter sub-cohorts had zero qualifying logs — the recipe builder reflects only the standard bar; variety-level effects cannot be estimated.
