This page draws on Signos production CGM data logged between March 2025 and April 2026, covering 40,487 meals containing whole milk across 8,024 unique members (broader cohort), with a single-item sub-cohort of 2,341 meals (1,193 unique members) where whole milk was logged without other foods. Statistical comparisons use Welch's t-test on matched pairs; all modifier effects cited carry p<0.001 unless noted otherwise. Cohort filtering restricts to meals with a measured glucose rise between 0 and 100 mg/dL (ppgr_case='regular'). We report mean peak glucose rise; the distribution is right-skewed and the single-item median is +21 mg/dL vs. a mean of +24.5 mg/dL. Whole milk logs were identified via regex matching on logged food names. A minimum group threshold of 30 matched meals is required for any modifier to appear in the calculator; high-confidence threshold is ≥500 logs.

Limitations

  • Self-reported portion sizes introduce noise — a 'cup' of whole milk in member logs may range from 4 oz to 16 oz, affecting carb load and peak estimates.
  • Cohort skews health-motivated; members using CGMs tend to be more metabolically aware than the general population, so average responses may be lower than a representative sample would show.
