Statistical comparisons use Welch's t-test on matched pairs; all modifier effects cited carry p<0.001 unless noted otherwise. Cohort filtering restricts to meals with a measured glucose rise between 0 and 100 mg/dL (ppgr_case='regular'). We report mean peak glucose rise; the distribution is right-skewed and the cohort median is +22 mg/dL vs. a mean of +25.3 mg/dL. Pumpkin seed logs were identified via regex matching 'pumpkin seed' or 'pepita' as a primary ingredient, excluding pumpkin seed oil and pumpkin seed butter. A minimum group threshold of 30 matched meals is required for any modifier to appear in the calculator; high-confidence threshold is ≥500 logs.

  • Self-reported portion sizes introduce noise — a logged '1 oz' or '1/4 cup' of pepitas in member logs may vary in actual weight, affecting the accuracy of per-serving estimates.
