Cohort filtering restricts to meals with a measured glucose rise between 0 and 100 mg/dL (ppgr_case='regular'). The single-item cohort is the primary source for all headline stats (mean +41.2 mg/dL, median +40.0 mg/dL); the broader cohort supports the modifier and form-variant analysis. Waffle meals were identified via regex matching on logged food names, excluding waffle fries and waffle cones. A minimum of 30 matched meals is required for any modifier sub-cohort to appear in the dataset; the recipe builder uses a threshold of 100.
