Cohort filtering restricts to meals with a measured glucose rise between 0 and 100 mg/dL (ppgr_case='regular') to exclude outliers and sensor artifacts. We report mean peak glucose rise across a right-skewed distribution; the median peak is +28 mg/dL vs. a mean of +31.4 mg/dL. Kiwi logs were identified via regex matching on logged food names, with composite preparations (kiwi juice, kiwi smoothie products, kiwi sorbet, kiwi syrup, kiwi sauce, kiwi preserves) explicitly excluded from the cohort. A minimum of 100 matched meals is generally required for a pairing to appear in the recipe builder; modifier slots that fall below threshold or with insufficient data are excluded.

Limitations

  • Self-reported portion sizes introduce measurement error — a logged 'kiwi' may be one fruit or two, and golden vs. green is not always specified, affecting the precision of per-serving estimates.
