This page draws on 7,294 single-item Tea logs (meals where tea was logged alone, no pairings) from 3,380 unique Signos members, plus a broader 38,724-meal cohort spanning 7,919 members across all meal contexts where tea appeared, collected through the Signos production CGM platform. Data were filtered to postprandial glucose responses (PPGR) between 0 and 100 mg/dL to exclude sensor artifacts and implausible readings. Modifier effects were estimated using Welch's t-test on matched pairs against a defined baseline; all reported effects carry p<0.001 unless noted. Because tea is a zero-GI / zero-GL beverage, form-slot anchor values are overridden to 0 mg/dL in the calculator (the cohort means remain visible per option for transparency). We report mean glucose peak across a right-skewed distribution — the median single-item spike of +23 mg/dL is a few mg/dL lower than the mean of +28.1 mg/dL, which is typical for this type of data. The food was identified in member logs using a regex that matched "tea" as a word, excluding compound terms like "steak", "team", "tea cake", and "tea pot".
