Ingredients:

  • Water: 1 cup
  • White granulated sugar: 2 cups 

Tools:

  • Large saucepan
  • Wooden spoon
  • Measuring cups 
  • Candy thermometer - Optional

Instructions:

  1. Pour 1 cup of water into the saucepan and bring it to a boil.
  2. Add the 2 cups of white granulated sugar to boiling water and stir with a wooden spoon until the sugar is completely dissolved. 
  3. Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for about 15 minutes.
  4. Remove the pan from the heat and let the mixture cool.
  5. Your inverted sugar is now ready to use.
